Hello and thank you for visiting us regarding our BoHome Rentals furnished units! We are happy to help you be placed in one of our gorgeous cottages or apartments. Please be advised, we receive a high volume of inquiries. We would like you to know what to expect when securing a furnished rental with us.

OUR PROCESS:

We ask that you check the listings on our website. If you find one that matches your travel dates, you can go on to fill out a free online application right here on the website. See below for “what you can do” to help us place you. The timing of your request is one of the highest factors in securing a rental, as we typically will process applications on a first-come, first-served basis when there are multiple applications for one unit. However, we will also be happy to consider you for other similar units and may offer one to you as the rentals become available.

If your travel dates match well with our listings, we encourage you to fill out an application. We read all applications and will contact you. If you do not hear from us, it is highly likely that your application was not selected for the unit for which you applied. We regret that we can't place everyone. 

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

Here are some things you can do to help us with your request:

  1. Check the dates! Most importantly, you need to check that your travel dates match what we have available. Check our listings here on our website since those are always the most up to date. We don’t recommend you apply for listings that won’t match your travel dates.
  2. Housing needs: When filling out the application, be sure to let us know your needs; specifically:
    • How many occupants? Note that everyone 18 and over must fill out the application form and be on the lease.
    • Pets? If yes, what breed and size? We are pet friendly, but we like to know ahead what to expect.
    • Your travel dates: Indicate for us what your specific move-in and move-out dates are. This helps us understand when we might expect you.
    • Will you be looking to extend beyond 3 months? ALL OF OUR LEASES ARE MINIMUM 3 MONTHS; however, we are happy to extend beyond 3 months with sufficient notice. (You may see a slight rent increase if your extended period stretches into summer months when costs and demand typically increase.)

THE APPLICATION:

If all of the above seems to work well for you, please visit the "Apply Now" page, and fill out an application. Our application is long—sorry about that, but it’s necessary. To make things a bit easier, travel nurses can skip the banking information (just put zeros in the required fields). We can use your agency contract in lieu of banking and credit/background check. Most of our residents are travel nurses, and we are listed with agencies, such as Aya. We love and appreciate our travel nurses and want you to feel most welcome and at home with us.

FAQs:

Q. What is included in the monthly rent? 

  • Utilities up to $50/mo for 1 bedroom and up to $75/mo for 2 bedrooms. In most cases, this is sufficient, and your utility costs won’t exceed this. Running A/C incurs the largest costs.
  • Water/sewer, trash/recycling, WiFi, smart TV for connecting to your subscription services.
  • Fully furnished unit, including linens, towels, kitchen items, and some consumables to get you started.
  • Single occupancy rate. You should anticipate an additional $200/mo for double occupancy.

The items above are generally applied to most of our three-month furnished rentals. Some items may change depending on uniquely negotiated terms, case-by-case. 

Q. Is there off-street parking?

  • Yes, for most units, but not all; check with each listing and inquire as needed.

Q. Is laundry on-site?

  • Most of our properties have on-site laundry, most of which are coin-operated.

Q. How will we start the leasing process? 

  • Once we reach out to you via email to accept your application, we will ask for a $500 holding fee to begin drawing up the lease documents. This is your good faith assurance to us that you intend to rent, and in return we stop advertising or looking to rent your unit. Once the lease is fully signed, the $500 is converted toward your security deposit. We prefer to use Zelle for holding fee transfers, but can also accept Venmo and Cash App.

Q. How do you accept rent payments?

  • All tenants are invited to our secure, online resident portal, where they can pay rent, submit maintenance requests, and communicate with us. The system accepts electronic funds transfer (EFT) and credit/debit. We strongly recommend the former, as ALL card payments, including debit, incur a processing fee collected by the merchant carrier (not us). EFT transfers are at no charge.
  • Once you become a tenant, we would prefer you not use third-party systems to pay rent, such as Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App.
